Art of Simplicity

Simplicity appears when what is unnecessary loosens its grip. It arrives as life meeting itself. Car horn in the distance. Holding someone’s hand. A memory tinged with heartache.

When your attention rests with what is here, experience clarifies. Nothing needs to be improved. The ordinary reveals its sufficiency when we stop negotiating with the moment and allow it to stand on its own.

Much of what feels complicated comes from leaning away from now. Simplicity emerges as that leaning softens. You give up imagining another version of your life and begin to trust the one that is unfolding.

This is also the ground of creativity. Attention becomes a gentle listening. Perception deepens. Insight arises naturally, without being summoned.

In my artwork, simplicity shows itself through restrained forms, open space, and a willingness to let the image breathe. The work asks for less so that what is essential can speak.

Simplicity, lived this way, becomes a gentle companion. It steadies the heart, clears the mind, and offers a reliable path toward a well-lived life.
